Longcroft hosted nine schools at the girls schools football competition on Tuesday, 10th October; Molescroft, Swinemoor, Tickton, Walkington, St Johns, St Marys, St Nicks, Minster & Keldmarsh.
A beautiful evening with 90 girls playing football, it was a great tournament with some great individual skills on display and good teamwork effort. There were 2 pools and the winner of each played in a final. Molescroft and St Nicks got through to the final, a tense competition which went to extra time and still no score. Due to the great play from both teams we decided to put both teams through to the next round of the competition. Congratulations to Molescroft and St Nicks and well done to all involved.
Thank you to the Longcroft pupils who did an excellent job refereeing the games in the competition, thank you for volunteering your time.
